What to Expect

SMBC is a traditional, conservative fellowship of believers.  A typical Sunday morning service has people of various walks of life meeting together to worship.  There are some men in full suits and ladies in long dresses while others wear a casual attire suitable for a worship service.  We offer a blended worship style with traditional hymns in addition to contemporary video songs.  Our pastor uses the New King James Version (NKJV) for main texts of the sermon.  The children's ministry and Sunday School material uses the English Standard Version (ESV) of the Bible.  Our goal is for everyone to not only read the Bible but also be able to understand it so that they are able to apply in their daily lives.

Sunday nights are varied to minister to the whole family.  1st Sunday night the men meet for Bible study, food, and fellowship.  2nd Sunday the youth meet for contemporary worship, devotional, food, and fellowship.  3rd Sunday the women meet for Bible study, food, and fellowship.  4th Sunday nights are family movie nights.  Everyone is welcome to join us.

Wednesday nights begin with a time of prayer and are followed with a Bible study.  Late Summer 2025 will be be focused on Biblical Citizenship utilizing the Patriot Academy material to help Christians realize the vital role we play to be salt and light in our communities.  This is an interactive study with both live and video teaching segments.
